Interesting. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it on Vori that Armageddon's Blade clashed with the Sword of Frost? When in the storyline does your game take place?

Our story begins before final battle. Its a prequel.

I dont know where exactly was final battle. I know the Sword of Frost was in Vori :)

Not 'after'. In linux you should install graphic card`s driver with 3D acc. features from your card`s vendor (It can be installed with one command/checkbox in all popular distributives). I`ve watched tech-demo, using nvidia 9800 GT with last drivers under Fedora12(14) — evrth. is ok.
What you're using for forming the models, Blender?
I use blender and gimp/inkscape for textures, but you cannot watch my work in this trailer (let alone bows in inventory during a second :) ). As for other modellers and artists — not sure, we use 'universal' formats while sending content to each over. 'Universal' — can be open under MS Win and GNU/Linux with free/open software.

Might want to have a little snow around if it's Vori... the entire island is shrouded in ice (or was before the Sword of Frost got stolen, at least).

It always puzzled me how Vori, while being situated roughly on the equator of Enroth, managed to preserve that ice covering.

I see that. GIMP is a wonderful tool. I liked also Wings3D and Synfig for animated comics writing.

Currently without linux station I will be having soon (again) one win and one lin running concurrently. Pity they will be ATX and microATX whereas if I would be buying them anew it could be ideally one microATX and one miniITX. But I'm multiplying my current comp. :D

This is world of xeen remake or just that name?
Its build on new engine or its mod to some game (like ultima remake made on dungeon siege)
Do you have project site?
What is requirements?

And i dont known.. what is progress?

Its dev name. There is no Xeen.

Its our engine base on opengl 2.0 renderer, and some other crossplatform librarys.

We have. But its doesn't work now, and its only rus lang.

Nothing extreme. Main requirement is videocard with shader model 3.0.
For nvidia, i think, it will be geforce 6 or higher.
Other stuff is not important.

Currently we have lots of content - models, textures, sounds, music, mobs, many (currently i think more than in MM6 or 7) 2d items pics for inventory. We have almost complete game interface.
All this content is our, except sounds - we take audio files from freesound.org :) and from MM or HOMM games.

Dont know when its done, but i think soon. Already have 3D global map for travels, location switching, dead mobs saving - in MM mobs does not respawn if player go out from current location...
Save/load will be next.

I have a couple questions for you about WoX2. Is it going to be at all canonical? And is it going to take place on Xeen or an entirely new map?

Actually, in MM1-5 locations were refilled every time the party enters them. In MM3-5, you're to destroy monsters' dwellings to completely clean them.

Also, in MM6-9 mobs respawn when the player ENTERS a location. :)

Many things are new to player. Camera control, interfaces, world map, game setting. As you can see on video player can select spell and go with "attached to mouse" spell into battle and cast when its need. Some new abilities :)
Still many things are old, tested by the time :)
We want to create an old good MM with some new graphics and game stuff.

There is no Xeen in this project, its dev name. It will be on Vori.
