maareek wrote:MORE ABILITY SLOTS!!!

Currently its nearly impossible to get the ultimate skills (like wizards ability that gives all spells) because either the hero starts with the wrong ability (for example when academy hero has basic enlightment and Intelligence ability he wont be able to get Graduate anymore because one of the 3 ability slots was spent on a wrong ability) or when leveling up you are forced to choose an ability that isnt needed for the supreme ability but denies you from getting ability that is required for that l33t ability.
Still I don't think we need more ability slots. We don't want to make things too easy, do we? ;)
Generally, you can still go for the ultimate abilities. (I've checked some time ago. IIRC, all of them need 4 skills, except inferno, which needs 5. Don't know for sure atm., though.) Of course you can always have bad luck with the skills offered to you.
However, I'd not go for the ultimate abilities at all. As soon as you got them, you rule the world, but you'll certainly lose the game beforehand, as the prerequisites for those abilities are mostly rather lame. If you go for good skills and abilties and thus block your access to the ultimates, you'll be better served.

Yep. Look for the ability in the very center. Like enemy morale - 6 for necro; instant gating for inferno and so on.

The interface needs to be completely redone. The sleep function should return(and with a button). The split and wait buttons are needed. There should be a kingdom overview. And there should be a description of what influences your creature growth and by how much(now you can just see the final growth, while previously you could see the basic growth, the amount gained from town buildings, external dwelings and artifacts).

well it seems that all the bugs i have seen in sigleplayer has been reported, so on to mulitiplayer

about Multiplayer:
A overview/realtime update about how your enemys fights is going, this could be done numerous ways like:
1. show info like "attacking (number) bone dragons". the number part could be optional.
2. A simple version could be the number counting down. ( or shown in % or just a bar)
3. it could be based on HP for the 2 armies, like (number counting down) for the attacked part (or maybe for both)
4. you can proberly find more clever ways that that :D and it should naturally be made like a settings when you make the game.

The no 1 thing that HoMM5 is lacking is proper a UI
Everything from a proper skilltree description and creature information to inability to load during battle.

It takes about 1 hour of playing H5 (if you played h3&h4) to realise there are litterally millions of easy to add UI elements that are completely missing in H5.

One thing that bothered me in HIV is that you were unable to enter the number of resources to trade/creatures to split, but you always had to use sliders. It would be a nice addition if they brought back the ability to enter the desired number using your keybord again.

You just have to add complains in each post DL. Tedious? WTF?? Ok how should the cam functions been like then? Bring on the ideas instead of whine! Use positive, creative comments to improve the game. The cam may be hard to get used to in the start but easy to use thereafter ;) Like heroes, easy to learn but hard to master. Oh I forgot we are living in a lazy gaming world. We gotta get eye controlled games soon so we dont even need to use mouse or keyboard, how fantastic! NOT!!
Deal with it. But If they may improve the "tedious" camera functions then fine, but IMO it works out just great :-D

Wow, that sounds easy. It sounds like it's almost the same as in Sims 2, and that I mastered :proud:

@ Orfinn: That eye control idea doesn't sound all too bad! Maybe you should find a way to develop that :)

Well if you feel that the cam functions in H5 are like those in Sims 2 or any other game using cam functions, I guess you will master it fast and easly.

And its enough lazyness in the world ;) It was actually a bad idea of mine about eye controlled game and even worse if it gets real so  thanks.

How can it be resolved?Just copy the camera from myth.It was perfect. You can, very simply, adjust it,either with a mouse or a cursor, and you dont have to move it every ten seconds after that.Objects should become transparent, both for clicking and viewing, especially in the underground. There you go,a constructive solution, which I mentioned at least 10 times before.
