Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I thought it would be wasteful to make another one.

Anyway, since getting TGS and WoW single are fairly difficult, I am very interested in buying Heroes 4 Complete, published by Ubisoft.

My question is, did Ubisoft screw anything up? Do fan maps still work? Online play? Patches? Etc.?

I had the Ubi version, no problems with it. I think it's fully patched...

I did but it doesn't say what the spellbook patch is or what versions need it. I guess I must have been asleep when this issue arose, as I never even remember it being mentioned before.

Can someone clear something up for me?

I'm currently using the Complete version of Heroes IV, but I had(and lost) the old 3DO versions a while back.

Anyway, I seem to remember there being alot more stock maps with the older versions, and didn't there used to be a random map generator in the editor?

There was never an official RMG, but ZVS included one in his fan made utility h4util which you can download from the CH download page. It is cumbersome and not easy to use, but it is what it is.

You're not the only one. I'm curious about this too. What is the spellbook fix?

some one please tell me how you all are getting the hereos of might and magic 4 complete dv. i can get the orginal version of it to install but after that all i get when i try to install the expansion's in unistall when i click on the respective expansion.

shouldn't it have installed the full game + expansions the first time?! try entering the game and see if the campaigns are there.
