Isles of Terra and Dragon Slayer

Unread postby Angelspit » 01 Nov 2006, 21:42

Dragon Slayer is the second map by finkellll, who gave you Control of the Oceanfront (rated 7.34 by the time I write this). The new map is an extra-large as well, meant for single-player. The readme file is missing from the archive, but I'll add it soon.

Isles of Terra (an homage to the third game of the Might and Magic series -- I admit it took me a while to find out why the name of the map sounded familiar) is the proof that mapmaking is an activity that couples can enjoy. Razeriel worked with his wife to create a scenario inspired by the classic game. The map can be played alone or with other people against the computer.

Regarding the maps under testing, I'm trying to get in touch with Conan regarding Triple Trouble (my previous message bounced). If anyone has been in touch with him, please tell him to contact Celestial Heavens.

I'm on Steam and Xbox Live.

Isles of Terra is really great ! Actually that's funny, I had done the exact same thing for Heroes IV back in the day (maps based on MM3, 4 and 5). Too bad I lost them in a harddisk crash...

Thanks for your opinion, Marzhin :)

Long time ago I also did this map for Heroes 3.

But unfortunately it is also lost, and was never published in internet

I also find "Battle for Androna" one of the most interesting maps.

Isles of Terra looks really good. The original was certainly one of the best for Heroes III. Note that the castle descriptions (and who knows what else) are still in Russian.

As to map ratings, the problem is coming back to the map after finishing it. If there were only a list of maps to go by, it would be a lot easier than having to navigate the search engine. This is one area where other sites are better than CH.
Before you criticize someone, first walk a mile in their shoes. If they get mad, you'll be a mile away. And you'll have their shoes.

Yeah, I just checked it, the descriptions are in russian, sorry for that. In fact I didn't plan to do any descriptions at all, but "town specializations" added descriptions automatically.

And as for list of all maps here, yes it's a little unconvenient but not too much. You click on any map, then do a new search (just put Heroes5 in search paramenters) and there will be a list of Heroes5 maps :o)
