Pls, my brother once got into a fight with his 1-4 grade teacher about who's the cows husband. Now that's an embarassed teacher.

As for annoying teacher, over here it takes a hell of alot more, coz anyone like you mentioned wouldn't last a year. Heck, half our male teachers got beaten up for various reasons. And when i was between the 9 and 11th grade the building aty the student exit had a really nice epitaph about a certain physics teacher sprayed on it. Heck, my class went through 6+ french teachers, some of which quit teaching all together.

The best(in a way)incident we had here a few years back was when the teacher ina highscool did the final grades,so she failed one of the guys,he yelled, got to her desk and stabbed a pocket knife in it(the desk I mean),and screamed "I want a D!".The teacher simply eyed him, pulled out her gone and said "I said you have an F".Both got expelled afterwards.Though it became an urban legend now,but a sister of my friend went to that highschool,so I know it was a real thing.Compared to that, finding a slight error in teachers work is nothing  (oh,and we dont grade with letters here, its just a translation)

Why would you need to translate it? I think everyone around here is capable of grasping the concept of a 1 to 10 scale. ;)

As for the topic at hand, in my highschool there were several teachers that me and my colleagues proved wrong. One of them, for example, was being very irrational about one of our tests and I had to tell her, politely and concisely of course, that she was overreacting and that she should consider revising her decisions. In the end she did, and all went well, but had I not told her that, most of the class would have flunked.

I think most people would have some sort of similar experience with a teacher somewhere .... but to pick up on TT post, we didn't try any of that crap with our teachers, even those that were not respected (for being good teachers) would never have been assaulted physically or verbally, just wasn't done, and this was both during and after corporal punishment time (it got changed after my second year of high school)

You don't dare attempt to prove a professor wrong in law school. Mainly beacuse it's hard to argue against an experienced litigator about a topic you know little about.

Highschool was a different story. My bestfriend and I managed to be a headache for numerous teachers who were happy to see us graduate. It's hard to keep your mouth shut sometimes when your professor confidentally states that Cleopatra was the face that launched a 1,000 ships. Or that some middle-easterners where turbines on their heads.
And the chickens. Those damn chickens.

well maybe the turbines help keep them cool in those arid climates!

and he was kinda in the right vicinity with the 1000 ships, only off by maybe 700 miles or so and maybe 1150 years or so

Tonight I almost lost a father, but I gained a friend. Me and my father has had our differences, but tonight he had a heart attack and almost passed away. It was very touch and go, but with help from the doctors he managed to pull through. Most of his 10 children, multitude of grandchildren and greatgrandchildren all managed to show up. Some live a good distance away. He may not be perfect but everyone of us (me included) cared for him deeply. Now those who were in california or overseas could not make it, but they all called frequently for updates. He just was let out of ICU and the hospital had to send most of us home. Since I know how he feels about my lifestyle I was willing to go home. He knows I was their, and that is what is important. Before I left I was allowed to talk to him, and we made a truce. That at least is a step in the right dirrection.

Well I am glad that you were able to make that peace, even if it was through adverse circumstances (as is so often the case)

I think it is great myself. If I can find this one av page again I will send you the link. For awhile I seriously thought of using some of them for either Halloween or my perminate avatar. Had to weed through the 'undressed' ones, but the art was fantastic...but may not be able to find the website again :(
