Heroes III high score?

Can anyone tell me if there is a maximum score points on in Heroes III?
I've tried many times to reach 500 but i don't think that's possible(my best score is 498)
If anyone has done it, i'll be happy to hear how

Theoretical max is 500. Not sure if anyone has achieved it on a "normal" map.


score = (200-(days+10)/(castles+5)+A+B)*factor

A= 25 if your side (alone or with allies) kills all enemies (standart victory condition)
B= 25 if you (allies do not count) dig up the Grail

"days" of course is the time spent, and "castles" the number of towns you (allies do not count) own.

factor:
Easy= 0,8
Normal= 1,0
Hard= 1,3
Expert= 1,6
Impossible= 2,0

Important is also that the score is always rounded down. If the equation gives 364.999, your score is 364 not 365. Also days/towns ratio is rounded down to nearest integer before substracting it from 200.

Campaign score is the average of individual maps multiplied by 5.

Thanks a lot, that really answers my question. Now it's obvious that 500 score on "normal random" map is almost impossible and therefore no one has done it. But it's worth to try!

Same formula in Heroes 2 ?

I can't say for certain, but I think the score formula in Heroes 2 is a lot simpler. You have a base score, which is simply determined by the number of days you took to win. The base score is multiplied by the difficulty factor (map difficulty and game difficulty). I think the theoretical max score is 450 but it would require you to win in 0 days. The highest I've seen using the 911 cheat is 449.
