Yeah, so little.... and there's a new eruption every month.

I doubt it's just a bit...

Well there were major impacts like chernobil, but it mostly is just adding a bit of fuel to the fire.Large forest fires still impact the enviroment more than industry.

Heya all, I live in Singapore and the weather is really horrible here. There's haze here everyday, thanks to our neighbour the dear indonesians. They happen to perform their "slash n burn" activities around this time of the year every year without fail, which, unfortunately, is the monsoon season and the smoke just gets carried over here everytime.

I mean if your neighbour was burning shit in his backyard and the smoke got carried over to urs u wouldnt be very happy would u? Especially if it went on for 1 month or more and the smoke is as hazardous as cigarette smoke?

I mean I'm almost inhaling cigarette smoke every minute Im out because of the damned haze. And the damned indonesians.

Just to butt in... currently we are contributing to the increased global warming effect. The amount of gases released into the atmosphere naturally were recently topped by the amount we put in, if you calculate all greenhouse gases. Fact is, the thing's now unstoppable. Question isn't what we can do to slow it down any more, it's what we can do to adapt to it.

Kalah just pwned you on that.

I did saw an interesting thing about putting iron in the sea to increase the plancton(?) which eats up CO2 way better then anything else.

You're right, they only contribute as much as the whole planet itself. :|

See,thats the "I am greater than god" attitude I was talking about. They dont contribute as much as the whole planet. Not even nearly.Oh,look we destroyed 1% of the ozone,we must be gods!

We have no idea how the climate shifts and what would be happening now if humans never existed,so we cannot say that the global warming we experience now is purelly a product of polution.

He would have died anyway, so i shouldn't be punished for murder.

Over time, not all at once. You seem to be stuck at that. Me stabbing you but missing vital organs isn't as bad as poisoning you over time until you die.

We had some snow today. It stayed on the ground for a few hours and then retreated to grass and ditches. It's still there, some of it, reminding us that the time has almost come for bringing out the heavy snowmover.
