I dunno about a special expansion edition, but the expansion will no doubt be made to be compatible with your collector's edition.
In War: Resolution, In Defeat: Defiance, In Victory: Magnanimity, In Peace: Goodwill.

I don't think I have ever seen a special edition of an expansion. An expansion is just a little extra after all.

The burning crusade (WoW) will be available as Collectors Edition.
But unlike nivals addon - this one going to be truly masterpiece, so it deserves to have CE.

Why would anyone want a CE for HV expansion after people got so screwed with the CE and LE of the original?

What people got so screwed with CE and LE? I don't remember a single case when somebody would complain about special edition. About Heroes V in general, there were some loud complaints, but not about CE and LE.

There were lots of complaints from america(I forget if its the LE or CE edition that was there)about it beinglate and offering nothing special.Personally,I dont care since I always go with just regular stuff.

Maybe we are complaining too much DL, it seems that ppl only notice us 2 and no one else.

There were plenty of jokes about how the Limited Ed was really limited.

I'll agree on this one... no manual, no creature chart(my H II regular came with one), was there even a map?

Anyway the expansion doesn't need a collector's edition, don't give ubi ideas.

I bolded the important word. The people who got the american "limited edition" really didn't get much for the extra money they spent.

The euro CE H5 was a total rip-off too ... sold 64€ in France (about 81$) for content that was ... almost totally offered to everyone in patch 1.2 (the extra maps), not counting the map of the world and the artworks that were published on H5's website and the now totally useless faction guide since so many stats have changed.

The point is that it would be a lot easier to make the expansion compatible with all previous game versions than to make several versions of the expansions like the did with the standard. I personally think they'll make a US and an EU version, and that the US version will fit nicely upon any previously installed US version (etc.).

I do not think they will make special editions of the expansion.
In War: Resolution, In Defeat: Defiance, In Victory: Magnanimity, In Peace: Goodwill.

Ah,but releasing different edditions will make it easier for them to make up excuses for stalling with the patches :devious:

The point of a special edition is to make you feel special. :D

I think the case of my EU Collector's look incredible, but then I didn't pay for it so my opinion doesn't count. And having print-outs of the map and the artwork surely beats those cheap scans that you can find online. Don't give publishers a good reason to get rid of those as well.
