Eagle Eye

Unread postby okrane » 14 Oct 2006, 09:34

It is clear that this skill is one of the weakest abilities in the game... since it's use is limited. What if you could learn spells that you cannot normally learn i.e. you don't have the required mastery to learn it. For example if your enemy uses Phantom Forces against you... well you learn the spell and you can cast it...even if you dont have Summoning magic nor Wisdom

Or it would be interesting if you could also learn secondary skills with this. I mean when you meet an allied hero and that hero has Dark Magic for example you could learn Basic Dark Magic... just like in a witch hut. This should be limited though.... you can learn just the basic skill and not advanced skills...

Well? What do you think?

That would be ok (the learn basic skills) but it would also still have to have a limit (ie not every magic skill). I agree it is about useless as is (with so few spells); however. I think you should also maybe learn some special abilities of creatures (lower tiers only) like familiars syphon mana, or Archers scattershot (if ranged hero). Maybe shield bash or something as well for melee heroes. :)

Enlightenment is such a good skill, that the secondaries do not have to be perfect too.

Eagle Eye is not the best, but it is useful. A Ranger can learn Wasp Swarm, Cleansing, Stone Spikes, Lightning Bolt and Endurance, just from your own creatures.

Think about that ;)

I think you should be able to learn all spells except the lv5 ones.

I think that there should be a chance to learn spells you have no prerequests for.60% for level 3,25% for level 4 and 5% for level 5 for example.

I think he was commenting on our ignorance. Not sure what I am missing but I can think of many skills I'd rather take instead, unless I focus on a particular strategy.
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

I suspect NMS plays a lot of MP, it would be more useful then. Depending on strategy of course.

Of course, I'm not REALLY sure of what I'm saying, so apologies if I'm wrong. ;)

I'm pretty sure you'd be better off getting another skill/ability there too.

Once Ethric gets here he is going to agree with you. Eagle eye is useless... stay away at all cost.

It is a horrible mistake made by Ubisoft! It almost destroyed the balance of this otherwise fantastic game. I hope they remove it in the expansion and replace it with something more fun!

Yeah. Let's keep the petitions to the really important issues, though.
