The general setting is the same as well.Though its not important for these first two games,it is important for any following games based on these two.And if DM becomes a bigger success(which I think it will be),then it will be the base of the franchise,and not the unfortunate HV.

To me it looks like he answered only to the 1st part of the last question, leaving the 2nd part unanswered. Or maybe not, it's an unclear answer that actually doesn't say anything. In other words, believe what you want to believe.

DM and HOMM are related through the story. However story of the new worl of M&M is in hands of UBI and nor Nival nor Arcane have to do anything with it. So I see natural that the contact between Nival and Arcane was completely unnecesary.



BTW, I agree with arturchix about the last answer. I think this would be a decent studio to develope a possible M&MX though.
