Hammers of Fate Q&A and Screens
HV is a great game. If you think it's too much like H3, you're deceiving yourself. Ubisoft is trying to ressurect a great series - H1 - H3. I'm sure it wasn't easy going back and trying to fix what 3DO did with HIV.

Yeah, taking out half the stuff H3 had and only adding 3-4 new things must have been quite hard.kingcranium14 wrote:I'm sure it wasn't easy going back and trying to fix what 3DO did with HIV.

A mathematician was asked how he would make a tea if he had water at 0 degrees celsius in a kettle,a teabag and a stove. He said hed simply put the kettle until the watter boils, then put the tea bag inside. When asked how hed do it if he had water on 50 degrees to start with.He said "Simple.Id spill the water, pour in the new cold water and repeat the previous".

Yeah, but after you are around for a bit, you get used to it after a while.

"And talking about mechanics, that would be something great as a Lvl7 unit with the Dwarfs, some kind of mechanized giant that shoots freeze rays and maybe laser eyes? Or just hacks away with a really BIG axe. Anyway my point is that technology had never been something strange for M&M, but that seems to be something lost in the Heroes series."
They tried that with the Forge Town for Heroes III: Armageddon's Blade, but abandoned the concept after massive fan protests. I don't think they'll try it again.

Everybody should know I hate dragons (you do remember me, RIGHT?!) but that's not the worst part.
look at the dragon's design. I mean wow. They really pushed that magma concept. pushed it so hard that it seems like they thought;
"Hey. let's just make a big lizard."
"that doesn't sound too good.."
"did I say it was ON FIRE?!"
"kickass."
conclusion; hello ubisoft. this is almost as interesting as your wii lineup. we've seen far cry, we've seen big lizards on fire.
I personally didn't like any of them the first time either.

I don't consider the fact that there are so many dragons unoriginal. Ubi/Nival probably wanted to put dragons into all factions, but Angels, Devils and Titans are most popular highest units in HoMM.
I am back and ready to... ready to... post things.

Well it's not an Inferno without a Devil, is it. And putting dragons in all factions would have been even more unoriginal.

If the name Fortress is taken for the Dwarves now, what will the name be if they make a swamp faction a.k.a. the real Fortress in a future Heroes game!? 8l
I'll try not to think it about it until it happens.![sad :(](/forums/images/smilies/sad.gif)

Ubi also posted information about four dwarven heroes on the official German site and French forum.

Wow, they actualy improved the names. But there are still 6 dwarves, Thane sounds good, but i'd prefer Storm Giant > Storm Lord. Thane would work for the hero too, Runemage sounds a bit too descriptive.
I like how the first hero looks, the rest are Meh...
They're up on the US site as well: http://www.mightandmagic.com/us/

The dwarven faction looks alright on the whole, but their armies are comprised of too many dwarves for my taste, which gives off a rather dull vibe, and the dragons...well, it's not the fact that they are dragons that bothers me (that much - I'd still prefer they were a different creature altogether), I'm not too keen on them being associated with fire/magma since the dwarves hail from wintry lands. Though one could argue that the dwarves themselves use fire in their smithcraft and whatnot...
