Actualy the core races shouldn't. XP penalties for multiclassing maybe.
Core races:
# Humans
# Dwarves
# Elves
# Gnomes
# Half-Elves
# Half-Orcs
# Halflings
For all the rest:
Monsters suitable for play have a level adjustment given in their statistics.
So the XP is treated as if he had normal lvl+X (X being the adjustment). And i don't know if he can get to 20 if it's not a epic adv.

If I remember correctly, both Aasimar and Tieflings have a +1 level adjustment.
And the chickens. Those damn chickens.

You played a man?! commas are your friend

And i prefer balance by disadvantages for advantage, not lvl cap myself. So, Fighter, Mage, Thief and Priest, right?

Oracles. The towns people tell you about Mary. Mary is a somewhat crazy person (most oracles are considered crazy) who is rumored to have sight beyond the normal. Problem is she is crazy, and tries to hit anybody coming close with a broom, or even throw one of her cats at them. She lives about a day outside of town to the east. Some say she is more Witch then Oracle. No other oracles are known by the towns people, but they say the South has a few more then the north, so the next town may know something.

Yes, and the only ones who get penalties to level are the 'special' races. Like MLS. Humans, elves, ect don't except if Drow, Gold, ect. And most of the time I don't effect lower levels this way, but the higher levels are a little more effected.

For DL, the book's contents you already know except 2. Fireball, and one you actually can not read .. at all. And yes Sun learned much from this encounter.
