Jon Van Caneghem Unemployed?
Sad for JVC, and sad for us anticiapating (the first?) good mmorpg.
Not a chance he will join up on H5 production now. Even if Ubi gets around to offer a position it will not as Lead Designer/Producer and I very much doubt JVC will be interested then. Besides it looks like is a bit tired of the MM-series, didn't he even say so?

Is this a joke?
The man gets fired by some company and you want him back in the H5 team?
I think he took too much credit for the previous M&M titles. If it wasn't for the team behind him...
Well he did manage to get his name right up in the front didn't he? I never had a very good opinion about people that take credit for something they don't deserve. And for sure no game could come from a ONE name/person.
Getting fired "again", definitively says something about the guy... don't you think?
PS: I'm a bit glad he's not in the H5 team.

There is a great difference between getting laid off and being fired. JVC has been laid off not fired! That says a great deal about a company which hires people because of their skill, then when the money gets tight, they lay those people off.
JVC will probably be much better off in the long run by not working for such an indecisive, cheap company.
Maybe he'll start up his own company again and having learned his lesson the hard way, won't sell out to another corporation when they flash the big bucks in his face.
