I don't intend to change every hero in the game, but there are already well done mods that change the models for every hero, so don't hesitate to check them out (on Elrath.com for instance, I think there's a direct link in one in the previous comments.)

As for being cliched, that doesn't really matter, you can mAke it cool anyway, the problem is that usualy when ppl go for the cliche they do it out of lazyness. And that's never a good thing.
