With the release of Heroes 5 approaching quickly, and Heroes sites focusing on this new installment in the series more and more every day, the Oracle League has joined the crowd.
With the new forums and other updates here at CH, I wanted to not only let people know the Oracle League is still around, but also let everyone know that the Oracle League is officially a "Celestial Heavens" member site. Celestial Heavens helped so much during the launch of the new Oracle League, and a huge congratulations go out to Angelspit, Psychobabble, and the entire CH team for their contributions and dedication to the Heroes series and the HoMMunity as a whole.

The dark layout looks cool, and different from other Heroes sites. I'm glad to see you managed to squash all those bugs!

I wanted to do something other Heroes sites haven't done to this point. Making multiple selectable themes for players was my goal, and with the Dungeon theme being made the default, that development track for the Oracle League has been started. The themes will all use the base colors from their respective town types, and there will be a theme for each of them in the future.
The dark background was something I was debating for quite a while. Light text on a dark background is harder to read, and the reason for my debating with myself. In the end, however, I decided that making the current theme the default, and telling players how to get the original theme back was the way to go.
While there are obviously some additional changes that need to be made (news category images, icons all over the site, some pages I may have missed the table borders in), I think that the overall design is fairly well completed, and additional themes will be easier for me to create now that this first one is done. The hard part will be trying to determine which of the remaining 5 towns to create a theme for next. The color schemes for all the town types seem like they will go well together, though the Academy (gold and orange) might be a bit weird, considering they are not contrasting colors like the rest of the towns are (Haven is light blue, white, and gold, Necropolis is fluorescent green and black, Inferno is red and black, and Sylvan is green and brown).
On those notes, it is interesting to notice that the original color theme for the Oracle League is light blue, white, and gold.
