Praise Thread 2.0

Unread postby Mytical » 07 Sep 2006, 03:08

Got something positive to say about somebody? Think they deserve some Kudos? Well I think we should restart the Praise thread for this. Keep somethings in mind though.

1) Please don't quote the person on here, that might turn this into a 'flame' war thread and get it shut down.

2) no mentioning yourself, that is just tacky (this is a thread about praising other people for their hard work/effort not about yourself).

3) this is a Praise thread, so even if somebody sings the praises of somebody you don't think deserves it, please start another thread about it. Positive praise only please.

4) If the mods don't like another praise thread they will probably shut it down quick, lets show em we can keep it civil :).

Indeed I have, my wife, who stays at home and takes care of the lions share of raising our children. Two kids to look after and about half way through another pregnancy .... having spent time looking after the kids when she has had things to do, it grants a true appreciation of how difficult a job it really is.

She is my rock.

Hmm... I think I'll allow this to stay, even if the previous one was closed. Just keep the post-count stuff away.

I would like to praise the Japanese Imperial Family for their newborn baby boy. :baby: First in four decades!!! May his life filled with goodness and prosperity. :)

Maybe it's not really a praise, but it's really great news and I think it derserves it.

and talk about good timing, that was almost the end of the line for the unbroken male tradition

Here's the old official praise thread; it was closed because it deteriorated into a thread for spamming and congratulating each other with round post numbers, which got really dull in the end.

This one gets to live so long as people congratulate one another on things that have some merit.

Modesty, I like that. It is true however, a lot of people put in a lot of hard work here. Staff and Mods do deserve a nod.
There are at least 5 I would like to mention; however, it's more thanks then praise. Along with the above mentioned..I would like to thank DL, TT, Stefen, and Pol, and theluckydragon for support and ammusement they have provided :). Shall we say, honorable mention? hehe
Yeah, I am biased, you guys/gals rule :).
