When I think about air, I rather relate it to white than blue.

but air is usualy related to wind and clouds, which is sky, thus sky blue.

I think the original purpose of this thread, namely to identify the dragons, has been answered. Mods should close this thread.

If they don't, then I'll continue digressing.

The game engine's already established, so if expansions merely mean making more towns, making 100 balanced new towns really requires much less effort than designing the game itself. The reason why game designers do not introduce tons of new towns is because they need to fit a story with it, and make sure multiplayer is still balanced.

I think there won't be an expansion to a strategy game, much less a turn-based one. Kids these days don't like to think. They like action and sensory excitement now. DM's an RPG, and that's the kind of game you can sell.

But anyway, if they do have an expansion, then I think these expansion towns of the dragons will be incorporated in the campaigns as campaign towns, so they can make them overpowered or underpowered, as the storyline requires. Multiplayer will remain with these 6 towns. Hypothetical question: if there will be extra towns, what spell schools will their mage guild feature, and what will their skill tree be?

We generally only close a thread when it degenerates into spam, or wanders very far from it's original topic. This one hasn't done either yet, so it'll stay open as long as people are willing to post in it.

Well the skills tree's can only have max 28 different skills for each hero type, but none of them do, as some secondary abilities are the same for more then one hero type, and others are creature specific, so it shouldn't be that hard to make new ones.

I guess the spell schools will have to be the same as in other towns, unless they make more might oriented factons, and give them only 1 aligned school.

You know what would be nice? Some Dragon Gods artwork from Ubi.

Well, we have a new universe and a more solid idea about the world of ashan, its creation and evolution but, what about the premordial dragons. In the heaven campaign, Isabel tells that the Mages have no Dragon. And she refers to the dragons once again well talking to Markal about the spider Goddes. In the game though, there is no hint of the dragons. Apart from that, there are supposely 7 dragons. We know of:

Heaven Faction: Holy Dragon of Light Elrath - Medieval town style
Sylvan Faction: Earthly Dragon Sylanna of Nature - Native Indian Style
Inferno Faction: Dragon Urgash of Chaos - Classical Age Style (Possibly Roman. The town reminds me of Collosioum)
Academy Faction: No Dragon, followers of Sar Elam - Oriental Style
Dungeon Faction: Malassa the Dragon of Darkness - Mild Gothic Style
Undead Faction: Great Dragon Asha the Dreadful - Gothic Style

So, we basicly know of the two primordial dragons and their factions and we know of only 3 Elemental Dragons.
We know that the Falcon Empire worshiped the Dragon of Air and then turned to Griffin Empire and worshiped the Dragon of Light so i believe, we'll have a nomadic or even another Human or interracial Faction dedicated to the dragon of Air.
We do know of the orcs and Ogres but it is uknown if they worship a dragon but what we do know is that it will be an orcish faction. so i'll dare sying:

Stronghold: Dragon of Might and Power - Barbaric Style (Vikings - Nomands) whereas Warriors are the playable Hero and
Goblin, Axe Wilder(Ranged), Wyrm/Beastmaster,Orc, Shamman(Magic Caster), Ogre, Cyclops will be the units. (Judging by monsters of Dark Messiah)

Also, we know from the game dialogues of the Dwarven Faction but we know no further details. Alas:

Caverns/Fortress:Dragon Asha of Creation/Dragon of Fire - Modern/Leonardo Da Vinchi Style wereas Alchemist might be the hero and
Scavenger, FlameThrower, Rifleman, Battle Dwarf, Porcupine, Ancient Artisan, Mechanical Dragon will be the units (forgive me if you disagree, i know nothing of dwarven mythology)

But also, we can hope for a lizarlike Faction and an underwater one. I just wonder where the centaures, harpies etc will be put. There are manymonsters missing but it is good to have more native units in each town.

Here are a few little coincidences I found: the ancient city-state of Urkesh had a king whose name was Te'irru; Asha is an Indian name that derives from the Sanskrit word for hope.

Now tell me, how many of you read that king's name as Tieru at first? ;)
And let's have some hope in good ol' Ashan, shall we? :-D

I know this was a couple of pages ago but if you all go onto www.gamefaqs.com you should see some really great ideas for the free cities faction.

It's a bit overpowered at the moment but still cool

@Articun

We already know all the dragons. We´re just not sure who worships the fire and water ones yet. But it looks like Dwarves and Nagas.

And Air is worshiped by the Free Cities, which are featured in DMoMM.

The Free Cities worship the air dragon, so if a naga faction is part of Ashan then most likely it worships the water dragon. But it's just a rumor right now.

wasn't it confirmed around the times of beta when the storyline section was way bigger and more detailed? That's where we know the Fire and Water Dragons' names from IIRC

The water dragon name we know from a certain adv spell. The fire drakes name still hasn't been confirmed officialy, so for all we know it might change at any time. HL2 had it's entire story reworked after it was leaked.

O_O I didn't know about that... but still, the Heroes story wasn't leaked, it was posted on the official site... and they haven't removed it entirely, only summerized, although the summary doesn't contain anything about the Nagas so something could've been changed.

If they removed it they prob didn't want people to see it, so it kinda qualifies as leaked. Just not the stolen type of leaked. :D
