There won't be any naga since naga is supposedly a neutral creature. That negates the ability to have a group based on them.

Heroes V Expansion Announced

@reynaert

I really don't understand how you can judge a HOMM game by the amount of dragons that are in it. I think that every town having a dragon as the strongest unit, or more than one dragon is extremely boring, there is no fun in that kind of town layout. Let's look at H2, the only similarity between level 6 monsters is the Bone Dragon and Black Dragon.

Variety makes a game so much more fun. Forget the dragons, H5 doesn't even have some more important older Heroes classics like Centaurs, Crusaders, Rocs/Thunderbirds, Cyclops, and Trolls just for a start. Let the dragons rot, bring back some oldies.

No we are remembering what we lost ...................the essense of a great American turn-based stategy game that a European company has butchered and changed so much that some of us don't see it as the same series........funny thing is that Heroes 5 Complete is only going on sale in Europe!!!!!!!!!

Expansion announced...and..? Think I'm buying this..? Tsk!

I'm curious how many people here will buy it. Create a new poll on the front page of the site and ask how many will get the expansion :)

More dragons and stupid names....oh well I shouldn't exspect more from Nival....

Flame mage....uuuh....Magma dragon....AAAAAARRRGGHH! <-- Were on earth do they get their creaturenames from???

At least the new race are the Dwarves. The race I wanted the most.

Online players will be kinda forced to buy it.

To CloudRiderX:

Are you aware that you counted creatures that will probably come in orcish expansion?

Also, whats the problem with dragons?

H5 right now has 3 dragons (green/emerals, black and bone/ghost).

H4 had 5(4 in original) (black, fairy, mechanical, bone and the MEGADRAGON!!) while

H3 had 7(3 in original) (red/black, green/gold, bone/ghost, crystal, azure, fairy, rust)

As far as I see, H5 has very little dragons.

To JessieLC:

You should stop posting nationalistic posts. We don't want a flame war y'know.

H5 has 3 dragons, but they have only 6 towns, so 50% are dragons.
H4 had 4 and also 6 towns, but they had 12 top tier units, so thats ~33%. Megadragon was neutral, and he was one of the reasons why H4 expansions sucked.
H3- crystal, azure, fairy, rust- all are neutrals. So H3 also had only 33% of dragons in top tier.

With coming expansion H5 will have 4/7 dragons as a top tier units in towns.

We are talking about the number of dragons not about how many dragons a town has. Also, in H4 every unit is in some town so the Green Dragon is Asylums cretaure.

Who cares how many dragons there are as a neutrals. In normal map i`ll face few of them while in H5 i`ll have to use dragons with 4/7 races.

As long as you think the feel of the game is good, you could put a paperbag over your monitor. Then you won't have to see it. Or make mod digital paperbags over the dragons. How's that for a solution?

ok :D

the elementals were part of a faction themselves and all of different tiers with different abilities, and the golems, well, only 4 of them in the game ....
