Newbie question about magic, probably stupid...

Unread postby Sabreman » 23 Aug 2006, 23:34

Hi,

I've never played a M&M game before (I think this is absolutely superb, by the way), but I'm having trouble with magic. Specifically, learning any at all. I've gone over the manual and it's no help. Basically I can't build the Mages Guild in the first city. I've built pretty much everything else, the town is level 18 and I have the neccessary resources to build the MG, but it simply says:

Upgrade level limit for this building in this town has been reached

Is it just a case of the city being unable to support one - am I not supposed to be trying to learn magic this early in the game? I keep getting offered magical abilities on my level-ups, and I've selected a few - which are of course completely useless to me.

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure the map you're doing doesn't allow you to build a mage guild. You're probably early in the Haven campaign? Later in that campaign you will be able to build a mage guild.

Upgrade level limit for this building in this town has been reached
that is basically a limit that is programmed against that particular building for that particular map, ie the map requires you not to have access to a mage guild, if this is part of a campaign, then rest assured, later maps will allow access to mage guilds to be built and learnt from

Just to reiterate, you keep the 'main' hero throughout the campaign so the magic skills will come in use in later maps in the same campaign.

have fun!

You might also want to check this one.Its a fans made manual, and it helps a lot.Or,you can look at this one.Its an official manual. They are mostly the same, but I prefer the fans one.

Also, you might want to chek this usefull thing. It will help you get advanced skills in the game.

Hope youll have lots of happy years with this marvelous franchise.
