I've had the game for about a week now and am doing ok on the Haven campaign. The mission where you free her from jail and hold the town is rough, but I think I'll get through it one of these times.
I have 2 questions though about the custom games.
First, it seems like the computer is unopposed or something. He shows up in week 2 or 3 with a level 20 and a huge army. It's like he is winning all of his home turf fights and taking no damage. There's no way he can be that both experienced and numerically unscathed. I am not dumb, I get that you need to get on the gold and troop production and upgrades PRONTO. But for F's sake, I'm still clearing out the local riff raff when he comes blowing through with all 7 upgrades in strong numbers.
I downloaded patch 1.1 and 1.2 and tried other maps. It seems to have chilled out. Maybe the problem was that "Rise to Power" scenario. I dunno, am I the only one?
Second, post patching I was fighting a custom and I met up with a Mage named NUR, i thought His stacks looked week and they were so i jumped him. His units were weak, but he was, of course, level 20. After raising dead 5 times and blasting me with all sorts of destructo, I look and his mana is 96/100. I watch him finish off my treants with his 9th or 10 th spell and I look and now he's 100/100 mana.
Do mages get a godly in-battle mana regen ability? Or are there still glaring bugs like this after 2 patches?
Need help with comp strength

The campaign missions and SP missions are not "normal" maps which means that there is no "normal" town, troop or hero development. When you play the last Haven map Isabel is pretty high level herself and as the story goes Agrael and other Inferno heroes are not clearing out maps or anything. They do what they have to because they following a script and a story.
You have ro read your mission objectives carefully. Klicking on them will show a detailed description in the right part of the window. You have to follow the cutscenes, too.
FOLLOW THE ADVICE (this is especially true later in other campaigns).
Especially: DON'T clear the riff-raff, mines. and so on with Isabel; let Godric do that with meager, but sufficient troops. Keep isabel in the vicinity of the town. See to it, that you get the tear of Asha SOON, so hire another hero, as soon as the first obelisk has been found, and set him or her to dig as soon as you have a clue where to.
