Sylvan Walkthrough Completed

Findan.jpg" align=right vspace=10 hspace=10>Matlz returns with two additional walkthroughs for the Sylvan campaign. <a href="/https://www.celestialheavens.com/585"><b>The Archipelago</b></a> is a remake of the firth Inferno scenario, <a href="/https://www.celestialheavens.com/544">Agrael's Decision</a>. It requires you to fight a series of neutral creatures without access to any town, a task that's much easier if you know the Resurrection spell. Things are made more interesting thanks to a series of power-ups, a lot of chests as well as an optional artifact hunt. The final mission of the campaign, <a href="/https://www.celestialheavens.com/586"><b>The Vampire Lord</b></a>, is a showdown against one of the game's main characters. I expect that article to be quite popular as the mission has been giving nightmares to many players.



The two walkthroughs include large minimaps and plot spoilers, so beware. Only a few more walkthroughs are missing before the Heroes V section is complete.

What an epic game... we need so many people to write a walkthrough together.

I battled the dragons to get the Unicorn Horn Bow and lost half my troops in the process. I then found I could not equip the bow for whatever reason and now, on the next mission (Vampire Lord) it has disappeard altogether. I am playing on Easy setting and it is quite possible I have done something wrong. Any ideas?

You'll find it on the map somewhere. It's like that for all artifacts you can collect.

I collected the Bow and it was in my inventory. The problem was that there was no slot in my "equipped" artifacts for me to put it so I could actually use it. Can I assume that I can collect it again in the next mission or has it gone for good?

It goes in the weapon slot, which should have been free. And you should be able to find it in the next mission (check walkthroughs for that if you want the exact location).

Well it doesn't do it always... and i think it might be because i wrote my user name without capital letters (notice the diff on how the name is spelled).

But it also 2x posted when i edited on the forum the post that did show up.



Anyway, anyone care to answer what the deal with the artifacts is? Bug in my game or error on Ubival's part?

Been a long time since you last asked so dunno if you still want the answer lol, but here goes. I collected all the artifacts I could and completed the sidemission (aside from I think some minor exp bonuses when you pick up the artifacts I don't think it gives you anything though). Since I had more than 4 artifacts, and since I didn't check each time after I picked up the artifact, I'm not sure on what the fourth one is. However I'm certain that the Unicorn Horn Bow is one, The Pendent of ultimate Mastery is another, The Armour of the Forgotten Armour a third. As for the fourth, it's either Boots of the Swift Journey, the Ring of Vitality (I think it's one of these two), the sword of might or the evercold icicle. Anyways, couldn't get the fourth for sure, but hope that helps anyways. Cheers!

Heroic 1.6;no map in Ranger campaign without a nice bug(well,maybe the second...) that's neat...

Of course,collecting all 4 artifacts(pendant,bow,ring,armor) does NOT complete the secondary objective.So much for the needs of the elves...

resurrection is very helpfull, I've lost only 20 sprites in all battles(21 Black Dragons for the bow got them).

I see noone can find all the 4 artifacts. First one is a Necklance Guarded by Archdevils, on Island 7. Second, the Hornbow on Island 8, third, a Ring(the one giving +2 hp to all creatures) guarded by Phantom Dragons(the black ones, Markal used) at the Island with the Stairs D, and fourht and final is the armor of the forgotten hero. On the Map you see the G Stairs, just NE of them is another pack of stairs, right of it, the armor. Finished.

The four artefacts are: The Pendant of Ultimate Mastery, The Unicorn Hornbow, The Ring of Vitality, and The Armor of the Forgotten Hero. In addition to the artifacts themselves, which are all pretty powerful except the Pendant of Ultimate Mastery (without town access, you can't set favoured enemies, so Ultimate Avenger is useless), you also get increasing amounts of experience to boot.
