Not sure whether Godric's Haven army is realted to his level. That 98 attack on the footman probably comes from its enraged ability.

I tried to Max Godric whenever I got a chance, so he is level 20 (actually 24 + 10), with stats of 26 23 13 12. I also picked his skills to maximize his effectiveness.

I don't think I can win this fight without Sorcery, Summoning and Dark. Sorcery gives me fast raise dead (just to survive); Summoning gives me phoenix (my sole source of power) and more raise dead (actually didn't make too much difference here as they all die in one hit, even 1k skeleton archers); Dark gives me spirit link (without it my mana would run out before Godric), some mass spells (doesn't make big difference here and Mass Haste "overwrites" Mass Slow, etc.), and Frenzy (useful as I used that footman stack to kill 3 his own stacks).

P.S. I have a jpg showing the above armies the moment they square off but I don't know of any public site kind enough to let me clutter up their web space to use the Html tags utilized for image posting purposes here. Anyone know of any?

What about the Howl of Terror? It takes away the possibility of getting both summoning and sorcery... But would the howl grant the chance of defeating and army such like the one you faced?

Personally I've had Howl of Terror in this campaign once. I wasn't so impressed. I still won, but that was because by that time (patch 1.1 heroic) Godric was much weaker, like 25 Angels, 100 footmen, etc.

Godric comes with expert leadership, plus his stroops are all aligned. This gives up 5 morales to start. Howl of Terror gives -6, so there is only 10% chance that any Godric's unit can't act.

Even worse, Godric can easily mass clease his army off the Howl effect, and he only used up 1/2 of the initiative! (compared to 100% iniative used by Howl).

I hadn't thought about it, you're right. May be when I replay it on heroic I will go for puppet master and the summoning+sorcery you mentioned.
Thanks
Dismiss all of Isabel's army at the start except for 1 creature. Godric can't take her last creature, leave her in the haven town for the whole game and ignore her.
Just buy a new hero .... and dump all critters there ...

If you want Isabel to be of any use, you can either give her a trailing hero that hands her the units at start of turn and takes her units at end of turn, or let her use necro units.

If she has raise dead, she can run around and have fun with zombies and win any fight unscatched.
Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?
