Download the "New" Maps

Unread postby Kalah » 31 Jul 2006, 19:26

When Ubi released two "bonus maps", fans were quick to point out that these maps were already available either from the latest patch, or from the Complete Edition of the game. So, nothing revolutionary, but if you haven't got these two maps yet, we are following in the footsteps of other fansites by making them available for your direct downloading pleasure.

The two maps "Refugee" (from the CE) and "Last Hope" (from v1.2) can be downloaded as a single .pak file by clicking <a href="/https://www.celestialheavens.com/featur ... ere (952 kb).

If you would like to take a look at the original page visit this link:

I don't believe that anyone can possibly justify this joke. How are these new maps when most of us have them already (through the CE and Patch 1.2)?

Pitiful. Just pitiful.
Before you criticize someone, first walk a mile in their shoes. If they get mad, you'll be a mile away. And you'll have their shoes.

I just played the refugee...got rushed

Not only that, the neutral stacks are HUGE considering your town starts at level 1 and so do you. The mines are very hard to take :(

And you have to raise 50,000 gold for an oracle who is a pushy peasant! 8|

A lot of us can since many of us already had these maps.

Some people feel short-changed since they were promised two new maps, and then it turns out they already had them. They should have made it clear the maps were not really 'new'.
But hey, once the editor hits the streets, we'll be making maps up to wazoo.

And they will be better maps, if all the fan made maps to date are anything to go by. :)

And I'll be right here to review them :D

I have learned that although I am not the worst map designer, my efforts are horrible when compared to the likes of the good maps I have reviewed. I think I will play with the editor a bit, but mostly I will wait for the true Heroes to get the real work done :-D

Here: C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Heroes of Might and Magic V\data

This is the default directory to put the maps in. :)
