The five people rule is there to stop this turning into a spamfest. It could be replaced by some other rule with the same intent, such as one word every X hours.

I can't find any referenses to anything but the person. Besides, just because an algoritm bears his name, it doesn't make his name a proper english word.

I think you've got to play by Scrabble rules. If it's not in the dictionary, it's not a word.
