Undocumented 1.2 changes

According to the Heroic Corner forum:

- Spell descriptions extended with new information
- Cavaliers/Paladins' jousting bonus lowered from 10% to 5%
- Spirit Link now has a description
- Gremlins can only repair mechanical units once per battle, but for 5 HP per gremlin
- Hypnotize now lowers a unit's initiative
- Eldritch Arrow no longer belongs to fire magic, Firewall now does
- Agrael's special ability description changed from initiative to speed (Russian version only?)
- Console cheats disabled, except for @-function calls
- Wyngaal's special ability description is now more detailed

Other:
- "move here" cursor changed from a horse to a unicorn
- new cursor added: "path blocked by enemy" - a red unicorn
- a notification appears if the player attempts to move a hero with no MP left

It did so before. Now the spell description shows the percentage of reduction. (the higher spell power the lower reduction)

About hidden changes, the towns with sulfur, mercury or gems specialty should now work properly. Before 1.2 they game a unexpected mess of rare resources.

The description in the paladin skills description within the game (added by the patch) says 10%.

why a unicorn? are they trying to be original or something? if so, a dragon would be much cooler imo....

After patch 1.2, has anybody notice that you always re-learn all your mass spells at the beginning of a campaign mission?

I am now in Academy mission 4. Since there are 3 heroes who know light, and 2 of them know dark, I have a good 2 minutes slide show of mass-X learning... Kind of weird. :D

Unfortunately, it has a misspelled word -- "enought".

Just proves the old programmer saying: for every new feature there's a new bug.

theres enough dragons in this game already. a PHOENIX icon would have been way cooler, theyre more special.

I think that if it's the cursor they've changed than each faction should get the icon of her mount: horse for haven, unicorn for sylvan etc..
although I don't get why you need a different cursor for blocked. what's wrong with the red horse or the one standing on its hind legs? :|

as it has been pointed out, dev console commands no longer work as we know them in 1.2. either via the commands themselves having been changed(which lua stores the console commands?), or the password to the dev console being changed, or them being simply removed.

Can't take units in Garrison anymore?

It seems that I can't take units from the garrison in the Sylvan Campaign, mission 1. Even when trying to swap with my own units.

Can anyone confirm?

yeah, this is a feature not a bug, there is a way to swap units from one of the garrisons if memory serves, i think you need to get a 1 stack of anything and add to the garrison then you can take away whatever unit you wish - not sure if that's correct, but it's from a thread somewhere hereabouts that discusses this - check for threads about this particular mission

That right. Even though I didn't get to this mission before the 1.2 patch, I am following what is said int he walkthrough yet I can't manage to take units from the garrison. I'm wondering if its because of the patch, or something I'm doing wrong.

Apparantly patch 1.2 removes this "feature" that one swap huge armies from the garrison.

the fort and the castle icons have been switched. or maybe this was already done in 1.1?

Add to the list that at least Silver Unicorns and Emerald Dragons have new icons (though the Emerald Dragons are like mustard yellow now - it's ugly). I havn't messed with the other factions too much (other than Inferno which seems the same) so I don't know if more icons changed.

cavaliers as well, they are no longer blue, they are all silver and tan now.

Actually this is one of the problems. I really like the 'yellow' color of the emerald dragon icon on the atb bar...the problem is that it matches the current look of the green (lesser) dragon on the battle field and vice versa.
