Patch 1.2 Now Available

The new patch for Heroes of Might and Magic V is out! The easiest way to download it is by using the game's auto-updater, which came with patch 1.1. If you don't have patch 1.1 installed, or if you would rather perform a standard download, look for the appropriate link <a href="/http://patches.ubi.com/heroes_might_magic_5/">here</a> (thanks evilp). I really like the DETAIL they put into the spell book during battles

You can right click and see duration and effectiveness of non damaged spells now w00t!

You need to download 1.1 before updating to 1.2!

@Marcus; Good question I do not know. To be on the safe side install them both. I hope you're not on dial-up. You can always download v1.1 after you download v1.2, but I think you'd need to install them with v1.1 first.

Yes, the auto-update is from START->PROGRAMS->UBISOFT->HEROES OF MIGHT AND MAGIV V->CHECK FOR UPDATES

@ RussianSpy; If you installed the v1.1 update it should be in the Heroes V start menu folder.

Ubisoft has the bad habit of giving multiple version numbers to its Heroes patches.They did the same with 1.1/1.01.

I believe I saw this confirmed before but hopefully they will start releasing additional maps as separate downloads from patches. There are 2 advantages to this that I can think of offhand. First, it allows you to release maps whenever you want so it doesn't have to be synchronized with the release of a update, and secondly, it will cut down on filesizes when downloading patches, particularly when they are made cumulative. If not, what I fear you may start seeing eventually are cumulative patches that are a couple/few hundred MBs or more in size.

I downloaded 1.1 long ago but i do not have "Check for Updates" anyone know why?
