Voted H5 (3DO). It looks really....uhm...bird-like and the fire animation is much much better than in the other games. The H4 one looks blurry especially when it flies but still it comes in on a close second cause it has more body than the other phoenixes (read: not skinny!)

Do you mean copyrighted, or as - can't download it?
I didn't have any problems saving it with Firefox.

I'll vote H2, with H1 and H3 coming right behind it. H4 just looks weird, and H5 is nice, but I like the others better...

Yeah, in H4 they just looked weird (zero vote as yet)... And the picture doesn't help at all, I remember they looked a bit better in-game.

I voted H5 3DO. It looks like the one from H2, but with better graphic, its sad that the 3DO one did'nt make it. The Ubi looks like a burning snake with wings.

The HoMM II version of the phoenix leaves any competition fumbling far behind in the dust.

Though I generally like the portrayal of HoMM IV creatures, the phoenix was one of the clumsier attempts.

H1 is the most elegant, so it gets my vote. Somehow I think a phoenix should look as if it would be at home on a jewel-encrusted perch.

The H2 phoenix is well-drawn, and fills up the available pixels, which helps to make it more impressive (important when it's squeezed into the same size square as an orc). But the shimmering, cycling, distracting feathers... so...shiny...must...stare...AAAAUGH it burns us!

went with the H5 3DO cause it's just so cool and it's not too fiery like the 3rd one and not too normal like the first one, it's just in the middle with enough fire and enough normal feathers
