I thought the subtlety of Mr. CH's first cartoon was quite witty. Only us fanatical Heroes fans would get the punchline of this cartoon. Afterall, every punchline isn't so crass and obvious, that everyone on the planet would immediately understand it. It takes intellegence to create a witticism that actually takes some thinking to comprehend.DaemianLucifer wrote:How more obvious?Should he punch them in the face with the punchline?(I guess thats how the name for that was created )

Every joke has its intended audience and this one is made for us ,heros freaks, and is quite obvious to us(at least it should be).HodgePodge wrote:

Praise! Praise!
I have a friend who used to do this kind of thing for anything that came to his mind. The website was called Poorly Drawn Theatre, and people like Weird Al Yankovic visited the site.
Maybe, with some funny strips (like this one), you can gain some notoriety as a comic strip author too!
Good show for the first public strip!

Comic strips
Goody! About time CH had its own comic strip. I look forward to mondays to read the latest VG cats, but sometimes I don't get the joke because I haven't played the game.
I think the crap drawing (which is actually no worse than anything I could cobble together) adds to the funny factor.

Yes, but if this is intended for "the masses" - ie new Heroes 5 visiting the site, the extra 15% could help them... that was my point.Every joke has its intended audience and this one is made for us ,heros freaks, and is quite obvious to us(at least it should be).
Just trying to be constructive.
Furay.

Yeah, well you're not being "constructive" at all! I don't see any "masses" here yet, so Mr. CH's comments were defenitely meant only for Heroes fans, who know what the score is regarding SF!Furay wrote:

You've been trying to bury the SF issue since the begining of time. So if it's it the "masses'" minds you are after, this isn't the forum in which you should be posting.
