Truth hurts
I think that beautifully sums up many fans feelings. Excellent job Angel.
here is some critique (since no one else gave any):
even though you said we could live with crude art it was hard to understand the joke at first. the guy was there and the monitor was there and the lining up of the four contests didn't make any sense first. I needed to look at it twice to understand that he was commenting the competitions.
nothing big but the actual disposition of the joke is lacking. keep at it though; I'd love to see more comic strips.

The Cranky Hero Making Of:
* When I was a kid, and bored, I used to draw my own cartoon strip, with main characters that looked suspiciously like "Spirou et Fantasio" (a well-know French comics). I was too shy to show it to anyone but my grandmother, who probably got sick of seeing my badly-drawn spaceships but never complained. One day I threw everything to the garbage can, something I greatly regret today.
* The blue thing on the right side was left there on purpose. It's a part of the Blizzard logo from the notepad that came with my old copy of Starcraft. I have a dozen of old notepads next to my computer at home.
* Drawing the character and the computer took about two minutes. Then I struggled in Paintshop to add the letters for more than one hour. I'm not very good with graphics.
