A known monster?
A known monster?
So anybody knows if something like this creature has ever appeared in any M&M game?.

This monster is given details about what it is... there was a news link about creatures in the game... https://www.celestialheavens.com/dmomm/ ... Hugger.jpg
There you go, It's called a facehugger. But I think they should just call it a Beholder. I asumed it was new for Dark Messiah

So it's basically just a gigantic headcrab of sorts, yeah it sort of does look like the MMIX terrors, colors and tentacles different though.
Not really much of a 'completely different new creature' really, just another underground octopoid, maybe something that hasn't appeared much in HoMM but certainly nothing we haven't seen before.
Looking at the picture it will probably be really slow, and they'll probably place it behind corners and things, the effect of running into one close up would certainly be much more shocking than seeing them moving slowly in the distance.

Unless, of course, they fall down on you/burst out of the ground.
Or even teleport their way into frightening your senses!
I've never enjoyed horror films, let alone games, that much.. my paranoia is quite present as it is. Either way, it does remind alot of the Evil Eye with the tentacles, but there are alot of other creatures with, eh, tentacles. But are those.. horns..?
A horned, tentacle beast with a huge gaping hole with teeth in it instead of a face...

Wha.. but here I thought Beholders were big balls(With two big eyes and a lovely mouth) with a dozen tentacles shooting out with eyes on them!?..
These things are like balls on a bunch of legs.. except.. they're floating.
Anyway, Evil Eye is easier to type than Beholder, there's your justification!
And it just gives the impression of 'slow', like a beholder(They are slow, right?). If it's fast, I'll certainly have a few nightmares. (Not that I recall my dreams)
