Dungeon Campgain-final scenario
Dungeon Campgain-final scenario
I have restarted this scenario many times, I have being trying to get to the get to the other stairway to return to the surface. Quite often Blue is waiting(with a very strong army) to prevent my hero from returning to the surface. I put my hero's girlfriend in a sanctury(which is close to the final garrison). There is at least one apponent there waiting. Sometimes my hero wins, but is left with a only a small Army not enough to go through the final garrison. Does anybody have any suggestions.
How i played it yesterday: Combine Shayda's troops from the start, go underground through the border guard with the war machine factory nearly, go west till u reach the lava river, go south along the river, emerge from underground, upgrade your raiders. At this point you shouldn't have lost a single troop. Take the castle south. Blue hero with BIG BIG army comes in, take him out.
The battle strategy is up to u - for me my 35 dragons were my sacrificial soaker unit, my raiders close to it to take advantage of the lizard bite, when the hydras come in they should be hitting multiple stacks who are busy with the dragons. Empowered Meteor Shower and Empowered Implosion all the way with the hero.
Lost all 35 dragons and most of the raiders, but almost full stack of hydras survived, and surprising most of the furies and shooters coz they didnt take a full succubi blast in the face (the poor raiders and dragons did).
The last 2 battles, the garrison and beyond, are cakewalk. Just rain empowered meteors and implosion, or take it slow and have some fun with teleport hydras.

Interesting...
Well I'm not sure I was *supposed* to do this, b/c this was before I realized that I was supposed to take the underground path, but I combined the armies and killed a hefty blue army BEFORE I went underground. THEN I split the armies and had hero and gf split up and rejoin together at the end. It worked out that no huge ass blue army was waiting for me at the end -- i mean, they were there, but i could out run them.

The 1st Inferno town I took (North West) had Instant Travel. Used Scholar to teach it to Shayda and both teleported across the few garrisons which would incur heavy losses.
There was one battle against 3k Imps. Had to use Lightning Bolt with Master of Storms on that stack repeatedly to prevent it from moving and draining Raelag dry of mana. With Expert Sorcery, was able to manage it though.
But if you're having trouble, the underground route is probably safer.
Actual battle tactics are dependent on what skills/spells you picked up and your stats as well but generally if Raelag is based on Destructive Magic, you should kill off their damage dealers early like Succubus Mistresses and Cerberi.
