Well. I else registered 10 minutes ago and really hope I can get in since I guess the succes of DM somewhat decides how much money they use on the MM brand... so I'll do my best to help if I get in

Now who posted that thing...If you are a Dark Messiah beta tester, you have agreed to a strict non-disclosure agreement and are not allowed to discuss the game publicly. Even saying that you are part of the beta is not allowed, so be very careful.

I tried playing a game of the open beta last night. Here's how it went:
-Joined a game, lag was so unbearable that I had to quit.
-Turned down all video settings to low and resolution to 800x600
-Joined a new game as an Archer. Lag was much better, but still pretty sluggish. Couldn't hit a freaking thing because the Archer blows (at least in laggy conditions).
-Switch to Assassin. I can't really tell if I'm invisible or not, but a Warrior cleaves me in half just before we lose.
-Join a new game as a Mage, but can't find anyone to kill. Start heading for the enemy checkpoint. As I descend the staircase into the Crypt, game crashes -_-
So ya I need a new graphics card bad

Here are a couple of tips:
* Stick to the servers closest to you. A game across the ocean can have nasty side effects.
* Keep the shiny visuals for singleplayer. In MP, you need a smooth performance, so keep the details low enough.
* The warrior is a good class to start up. You will probably fall against the enemy warriors at first, but at least you will get some kills against the other classes.
* As an assassin, hide in corners, behind walls and pillars. The cloak is better if you walk slowly, or if you don't move at all, but it's far from perfect. And remember that enemy priestesses can see you, and make their teammates see you as well. Avoid fighting anyone in the open: surprise your opponent with a backstab (or a frontstab) instead.
My game crashed as well two days ago. You might have to verify the integrity of your game files in Steam because of that. Hope this helps.

How can you tell where the servers are? And I've already set the visuals as low as they will go. It's still not great.
Anyways, I played again last night and it was a bit better. But it is still too laggy - it's playable but the game requires too much accuracy to play with this lag. Stuff like, I can't turn around fast enough to see there is an enemy standing right behind me who one-shots me with a spell or arrow. Or fighting another player accurately (other than weaklings).
I played a warrior last night and that was a lot easier - mostly just because they can slash wildly to midigate the slowness caused by the lag We won like 3 maps and then the game crashed on me again -_-
Oh, and for the Assassin, I figured as much but I couldn't see a "stealth meter" like in single player. So I couldn't tell if I was hidden or not.
P.S. - already checked on Steam - integrity seems fine so it must be some problem with the game itself. It could be my graphics card - despite fixing all the video issues I had with the SP demo (i.e. movies showing a big "/") I still don't think Ubi is really supporting the Geforce FX cards at all.
