It is indeed:

setvar dev_console_password = schwinge-des-todes

and should work no matter what version...are you putting it after the line with mainmenu, so it looks like this in your autoexec.cfg:

// Startup
mainmenu
setvar dev_console_password = schwinge-des-todes

Well, I added it like that, and I can get the money code to work, but I can not get the army code to work.
I have tried it two different ways and I always get haven troops, and not sylvan. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

well linda, it works for me, i have used it to get inferno and undead troops. the only thing i can think of is that i didn't use comma's

add_army 5 0 got me 10 of each unupgraded inferno troop

dunno if that will help, but it's all I can think of
