New Comic: Ghosts of the Past

Unread postby Angelspit » 16 Jun 2006, 20:20

<a href="/https://www.celestialheavens.com/491"><img src="/https://www.celestialheavens.com/featur ... G"></a>Yet another update, and beware, it will blow your mind. Vladimir Kuzmanov (a.k.a. <a href="/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=252">Vlaad</a>) sent me the first two pages of a new Celestial Heavens comic. <b><a href="/https://www.celestialheavens.com/491">Ghosts from the past</a></b> is a story about the heroes of the yesteryear in the new world of Ashan: <i>"Like most of the fans, I miss Sandro, Solmyr, Gelu and other familiar faces. Now they are back!"</i> Vlaad worked with Misho Zhivanov, who took care of the colors and lettering. They would like to know what you think of the color version of page 1, and will update the rest of the series accordingly.

The series will continue with two or three updates per month, two pages at a time. Enjoy this exciting new series!

Well that was rather... confusing. I has unclear about the actual order of the panels the first time through. Maybe a higher res is needed?

Great drawings though. Keep up the good work.

great job! looks like a great and promising series. i want more!!! about the color, it looks great in B&W, but the color makes it a bit more clear. the first page looks better in color, as it is a bit messy and hard to make ou the different details without color, but second one looks great and clear as-is, ans imo shouldnt be changed.

Great! Wandre is back, now like admirable and serious collector-herbalist.

Ehm, I'm not stupid, but IMO it makes no sense, except for "sandro is back"

I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

i thought he was made up for sake of story, but seeing that Pol seems to know him from somewhere it would seem that that is not the case...

I don't find this comic interesting. Sorry.

Here's a summary (the comic makes perfect sense for me): Sandro is somehow back, turned the few heroes who were in that cave (for one reason or another) into skeletons after killing them with a meteor shower. The elf who shot Wanre noticed he was just a skeleton. The fact that Wanre (whoever he is, I'd like to know this too) was defeated and turned into a skeleton means that there's a powerful necromancer about, which calls for certain measures.

For people that feel a bit lost with the story, be patient. A lot of comics start off like this - there'll surely be explanations further on. This is just the prologue, and pretty good quality stuff in my opinion. I've seen worse on store shelves.

I, too agree that the 1st page is better with color as it is a bit messy, but the next page is very good in b&w.

Can't wait for the rest of the story. And Malicen, you can't really dismiss the comic that quickly, unless you in general dislike comics, of course. I mean, nothing has happened yet.
