you can find out which version you have from the windows registry. this also gives you a good hint which patch to apply. run regedit.exe and find the game information from some /software folder. but please, DO NOT EDIT ANYTHING. this might ofcourse mess up your system.

I have the European Collectors' Edition (in English) and downloaded from the link given by Inflitrator, but that results in the 'you do not have the game installed' response (yes, I've got the CD and it's in the drive). So I think Infiltrator is mistaken to think that the US version works for all English-language versions. Sigh!

From what i saw there are 2 english versions: EU and US. The rest are language specific. The collectors edition ones seem to be the same as the normal ones based on size, but they could have something blocked/unblocked.
