"There's already three snow textures in the game, but it's not enough to replace all the grass ones, so I snatched a few from some other games, this is just a test to see how nice heroes would look with snow, imagine the trees, water and everything else being snow themed!" Thanks Hipshot

Snow in Heroes V
so this isnt actually the game, but just a photoshopped picture from the game?

I love how Nival felt we needed an actual snow-based faction before they could actually give us the snow textures.
Heaven forbid someone would actually want to make a map with snow on it when the map editor comes out.

There is also textures for trees covered in snow.

Not quite. What Hipshot did was, I believe, to replace the "graphics" for grass in the games engine with those for snow, and that was the result.soupnazii wrote:so this isnt actually the game, but just a photoshopped picture from the game?

I did just replace the grass theme with snow. There is already a few snow textures in the games, there are also tree objects that has a snow theme. Still haven't seen a map using this though.

Looks Great IMO, I relly miss "snow" and a more "tropical/swamp" theme. H5's Graphics looks good but IMHO they become a bit repetitive, it's just grassland theme all the time. trees, trees, trees and mouintains... everywhere. ( and the some few lava muntains here and there) I want more bushes, flowers. tropical looking trees, palms, oaks. Diffrent kinds mountain ( I loved the white mountains i H3. A rough theme would also be nice. I guess you get the picture.

He should trade in some mercury and/or wood for some more sulfur, if he cant find any sulfur mines.

Actualy Wood and Ore seem to be much rarer in this one. And there's no town that produces them either.
