Cossacs
Now this is one hell of a realistic game.Im looking forward to trying out the second part, which will happen soon,I hope.I really like how battles are masive, without any caps, and realistic(cannonballs drop infantry like flies).
Realistic? Really not. It's just a case of throwing tonnes of units into tonnes of other units. Formations? They break straight after going into combat.
It's a rather good game though. What it has for it is exceptional gameplay.
Unfortunately after a while it gets repetitive since it's just about churning out a massive ammount of units and throwing them en-masse at the enemy.
Cossacks 2 is much better in strategy and tactics but in terms of Napoleonic Wars is entirely unrealistic. To a sickening extent. For a fan of the era it is pretty much impossible to play. But do check it out - you might like it.

Re: Cossacs
If you really like to try some realistic RTS then I recommend you to try Shogun: Total War. One of the very few RTS that allows you to use the advantage of terrain and weather. Actually the game is combination between turn based (the economy part of the game) and RTS (where battles take place).DaemianLucifer wrote:Now this is one hell of a realistic game.Im looking forward to trying out the second part, which will happen soon,I hope.I really like how battles are masive, without any caps, and realistic(cannonballs drop infantry like flies).
