Yeah. Some of us are jealous.Angelspit wrote:...The reaction has been quite positive so far.
Just kiddin'. I actually liked the old system that was taking us through the names of some of the creatures.
Might I suggest sth for the new one? I don't know if it's easy to implement, but it's just an idea. Actually a couple of them:
1. Based on the HP of the new H5 creatures, each user can choose as title any creature name, but only if his post cound it higher than the HP of that creature. Only users with a higher post count than the strongest creature, can have a customized title of their own.
2. Each user can choose a favorite alignment. And the titles will correspond to that alignment, but depending on the post count. Let's say one chooses Sylvan. It would go like this:
- Novice: Pixie
- over 50 posts: Sprite
...
- over 750 posts: Emerald Dragon
- over 800 posts: the possibility of going for a custom title
This might prevent the invasion of custom titles, 'cause 200 is not such a hard limit to reach (even though I'm not saying it's a bad thing, it all depends on the desired personality the admins want for the site). Of course the numbers can change (new title every just 25 posts for example).
What do you think about sth like this? Or if what we have now is final - how does it actually work?

Oh come on!It took me almost a year to reach 800.And some didnt reach even the 200 after a long time(spamming is an art ).Its fine the way it is.But that about the custom aligments is a good idea.Zamolxis wrote: - over 750 posts: Emerald Dragon

The numbers were just a suggestion. I guess we can make it every 25 instead of every 50 posts. But let's not debate on it too much before AS tells us if he actually also likes the idea or not. :pDaemianLucifer wrote:Oh come on!It took me almost a year to reach 800.And some didnt reach even the 200 after a long time(spamming is an art ).Its fine the way it is.But that about the custom aligments is a good idea.Zamolxis wrote: - over 750 posts: Emerald Dragon

I'd also like to know how the system we have now works, 'cause maybe I'll like it more than my proposal.

But... I guess moderators and admins won't be supervising each and everyone's posts, will they? Or maybe there's another method of determining who is worthy and who is not...?
By the way, the old Round Table had a list of the ranks in the FAQ. Could we have something like that here, or will it be a surprise?[/i]

Titles & Post Counts
Somewhere on this new board, I read Angelspit's explaination that all the replies to the news articles at Celestial Heavens were carried over to this new forum. Thus, some people have no posts carried over, some have a few posts, some a lot.

tLD: No, but custom titles can be set up so that they only can be changed by admins, and, well, if all one has done is spamming, they might be a bit... slow... in changing the titles.
Hodge: That's true. Except for one person, people had at most 50 posts though, so it isn't a huge gap.

Well, its color signifies some things: if it's only one color (except black), that person is either some kind of mod /admin on these forums. If it's silver, that person was a valuable contributor on the old forum. For everyone else, the amount of yellow in it shows how far in the post-race that person is
