Seperate forum for mods

Unread postby sisko » 09 Jun 2006, 14:01

Do you guys think it would be a good idea if we have a seperate forum for all the mods and mod requests.

We already have "Mods and maps" which include "Equilibris" and "Wake of Gods" forums. Since HeroesV can now do mods a lot easier i think it deserves its own forum.

Actually, I plan to move all mod threads to the Mapmaking Guild. I'll get to it as soon as I find the time.
I'm on Steam and Xbox Live.

Well, that's already better, but why not make a completely new forum? Mapmaking and creature modding (and whatever else can be modded) is still different.

For one, i believe that a lot of players will (offcourse) use new maps, but less of them actully want to modify this game, want to keep it "pure"let's say.

And who voted no

I didn't vote.

More forums means more work for mods who need to move around the threads that are in the wrong forum. We had a more complex forum structure before (one forum for technical stuff, one forum for strategy, one forum for mapmaking) and people used the general forum mostly. I'm confident that the Guild will contribute to reduce the chaos in the Heroes V forum.
I'm on Steam and Xbox Live.

I did, cuz I prefer having 1 forum for everything HoMM5
Easier to browse through everything H5-related, be it mod or general discussion or help threads or whatever.

I wouldn't like having to look through 2-3 different forums to see what's happening in the H5 community.

Also, I'm supposed to be allowed to express my opinion so you don't have the right to be angry at me for doing so.

The pen is deadlier than the sword;
if the pen is very sharp and the sword very short.

Yes you are, but if you look at option 3 you'd realise some sarcasm :devious:

I think mods should have a [mod] tag in the topic title start to minimize confusion as to what the topic title means.

Allright allright, sheesh

Closed by the not-so-secret police because there won't be a separate modforum for the time being.
