Haven Campaign, Map 2 technical problem

So, I installed the new 1.1 patch and decided that I'd start from scratch and see how much of a difference the new easy mode makes. I played the first map of the Haven campaign without much problem, and then got to the second map ("The Rebellion"). Interestingly, I didn't get any objectives beyond the basic "Isabel Must Survive" one, but I remembered the map, and so made haste for Strongbow. I captured it well within the first week, as required, then collected the 100 archers, and headed for Ashwood.

Well, the map was indeed easier than I had remembered it (some of which may have less to do with the easy mode and more to do with the fact that I'm more used to the game now, but nevermind), but, after capturing the last town with well over 100 archers... nothing. The entire map was revealed, there was literally nothing left to do short of go around and pick up creatures from the dwellings. Some sort of bug (or whatever) prevented me from clearing the map.

It's not a huge deal, of course, since I'd already unlocked the next map, but everytime I've tried to restart that particular map, same problem, even on the traditional difficulty modes. Has anyone else tried to replay this since the update? Am I alone in this problem? I'd reinstall to see if that fixes it, but I'm worried that, if I do, I'll lose my clear data, and then I'll really be stuck at the map.

If anyone cares, the same problem seems to be at play in other campaigns, as well. Specifically, I tried playing the second Inferno map, which went well until I approached the king's masoleum. I was able to fight the army guarding it, but no cutscene was triggered, and, once I emerged victorious... nothing happened. I couldn't enter the crypt manually, and my progress just sort of ran into a wall from there on.

I'm gonna reinstall and see if that resolves the problem. It's all very strange indeed.

Hey I'm having the exact same problem. I've uninstalled, deleted my profile, reinstalled, and patched, and when I get to the 2nd map (rebellion) my only objective is that Isabella survives.

I'm curious if you're running any mods? I've got the classic AI mod installed and that seems to be the cause of the problem. When I removed it and started over, everything worked.

Which actually kind of sucks. I wanted to replay HOMM5 without really terrible AI (normal and below) or AI that cheats like crazy (hard or above).

Anyone know of a workaround so that you can actually play the original campains with the Classic AI mod?

I wouldn't know. It's usually best to play a campaign without any mods. But I guess you figured that out yourself by now. ^_^
