patch not installing

I've the European Colledotr's Ed installed on F:. Both the US and European version of the patch cannot find H5 and refuses to proceed. Anyone else seeing this?

I've the game installed on a secondary partition as well, and didn't have any problem. Did you make sure to get the right version (the one for the deluxe edition)?

I only saw the 1 version on UBI.

My registry says I have the European Collector. Neither the EU_101 patch nor the US_101 patch sees H5.

There are 2 European versions, regular and limited edition. You probably picked the regular one.

My properties of the heroes V program say its US version but the US installer didn't work. I have collectors edition and I got it in Australia.

I'll try the Euro version tonight.

I bought the game from Amazon.com in the USA, but according to the registry entry I have the European edition. The US patch would NOT install - I think this would be very confusing to a lot of people. Not everybody reads forums, or knows how to look at the registry. Fortunately, the European patch works fine.

Bought the game through NewEgg (online) a couple weeks ago (day before the OFFICIAL US release), and also got the European version. I too downloaded the US patch, and when it wouldn't install, came here for the answer (thanks BTW). European patch worked fine.

Well, maybe that explains why they (NewEgg) had it before it was officially released in the US? Hmm...

Strange that this isn't even in the FAQs on UBI's site yet though... I'm sure others will have the same problem.

Check out the Ubi forums; page after page of people with patch problems. I'm too afraid to try it myself till this gets straitened out. And from what I can read, it's not just because you might have downloaded the wrong verson. Some very computer savy people are having trouble. . .

Does the game need to be registered before applying the patch? It won't let me register the game without logging in, and when I put in my e-mail address and birthdate, it says it doesn't match what they have in my system.

Don't have my old password and it doesn't recognize the one I normally use. Doesn't match my e-mail and dob. I can't send them an e-mail to get this fixed because I need to log in to do so.

Catch-22 anyone?

At least I finally got the dx...._25 error fixed so I can play the game.
