<iframe src="/http://rcm-uk.amazon.co.uk/e/cm?t=celes ... ffff&f=ifr" style="width:120px;height:240px;" scrolling="no" align=right marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" frameborder="0"></iframe>A post by Dublex at the Round Table confirms the content of <a href="/http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/red ... gl">Heroes of Might and Magic Complete Edition</a><img src="/http://www.assoc-amazon.co.uk/e/ir?t=ce ... &l=ur2&o=2" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />. The first three games of the series are on CD-ROM while the last two are on DVD. What is particularly interesting is the fact that all expansion packs are included. The downside is that there is only a printed manual for Heroes V (and PDF manuals for the other games I guess) and an addendum about running Heroes I in DOS, so no limited or collector extra to speak of.

Currently, the game is an Amazon U.K. exclusive, so you might need to inquire about their policy for international shipping. The game is £29.99, but shipping is free if you live in the UK.

Strange, it's almost similar to the Complete Edition that was released in France as a FNAC exclusive, but the french one didn't include the extensions and was sold for 59,99 euros... I'll never understand marketing.

Other than wanting to stir up fan feeling (most of which has been negative on content) what possible point is there to all of these international differences in content. It is cheaper to produce more of the same edition not more editions of less.

What a great set for an equally amazing price! I cannot see a good reason why newbies to the Heroes series would by anything but this!

Before I didn't intend to buy this, since I prefered to buy at a local retailer that provides support and such, but if it also includes all the expansions this really is a must-have!!

The most interesting thing about this is probably the way the set is stitched together - Heroes V and IV have their own DVD, and the rest are actually the same as the Heroes III platinum addition, I althought I'll need to check my US import version later to confirm. If I can confirm its the same format and content, I'll update my post later.

In case you were thinking, why use a DVD for Heroes IV? The answer seems to be because it has all the european language versions of the game on it, including English, German and French, each over 1GB each in terms of size - so, either UBIsoft plan to release this set into other parts of europe and the world eventually or its the same contect as the Heroes IV complete edition. I have no way of confirming this however as I don't have Heroes IV complete.

Does it include the expansions? 'cause the information only states 'full versions', which can be opposed to 'demo versions'.
I have probably offended you in this post. if you take it too harshly, it's your own responsability. I, for my part, never intended to.

I know that Amazon UK will ship to the US so they will probably ship to Canada as well. I know this from personal experience buying something and having it shipped to the US.

I checked their site- they do NOT ship software to NA (they do send books, CDs, movies to US/Canada, but not software)

I picked this up as soon as I saw it, because even if I can't play Heroes V, having the Winds of War expansion for Heroes IV means I can now play all of those maps denied to my by the poor timing of 3DO's demise.

I was a bit sceptical at first, because the packaging leads you to think it only contains the 5 main games, without any expansions, but once you get it open you can see that it does indeed have all of the expansions.

I, for one, am rejoicing not only about a new Heroes game, but the fact that the community now has no reason to be divided any more! Long Live Ubisoft!

Long live UBIsoft, you're joking right. I might feel less inclined to drive a stake in their corporate heart, if they do a world-wide release of the complete edition, instead of just Europe. Until then it is just one more sign of their ineptitude.

When, I am sure that when those two online chapters of the Heroes Chronicals no longer requires the US Edition of HoMMIII to play (and only the US Edition), I will sympathise... :P

Years of US gaming tyranny reversed, yeay! That's almost definately better than undividing the community...
