I haven't reached that part of the Inferno campaign yet so I wouldn't know exactly. I do think he's a powerful hero, though perhaps not exactly as you've trained him.

Though in the haven campaign Agrael was a powerful hero, and then you start with him from scratch.

Some heroes continue as you left them. They have all the skills, stats and abilities but may be of a lower level than they were when you finished the campaign with them. Get to the necro campaign and you will see what I mean.
Like If you get high logistics skill with Godric in the 5th haven scenario, it will be harder to run away from him in the first inferno scenario me thinks.

I didnt check.Only fought him once in the demo.In the game Ive finished that mission on my first try and didnt wait too long.
