Heroes 5 complete contents confirmed
Heroes 5 complete contents confirmed
OK, I now have Heroes 5 complete sitting on my desk, and I can confirm that it contains the following:
Heroes I (on CD-rom)
Heroes II (on CD-rom)
Heroes III (on two CD-roms)
Heroes IV (on DVD-rom)
Heroes V (on DVD-rom)
Heroes I-IV are the games with the full expansion packs. There are no manuals with the box set apart from the Heroes V manual and an addendum sheet for running Heroes I in DOS.
There is nothing else extra with the box, so no unit pullout for 5, map etc.
I'll see if I can do a digicam shot of the box art later if anyone would like me to do that and if its legal, although I'm not sure where to upload it to.
But to summarise, if you want to play all the heroes series, then this is the best collection to get, persuming an incarnation appears in the US / Other parts of Europe / Other parts of the world, as it contans all the games and the last two on DVD.
Note to mods: sorry if this is technically double posting, if you feel it should be merged with my other thread then please go ahead. I thought I would post it here as its easdier to access and not forcing someone to wade to the bottom.

Orfinn, Its already out in the UK, as an amazon.co.uk exclusive.
Unfortunately they only ship to the UK
I'm not sure when its going to be released in the US or the Asia or the rest of Europe.
The amazon link though is at:

I've got the US Limited Edition in my hands, so it's definately out in America... What's funny, is the US has the "Limited Edition"... NOT the "Complete Edition"... yet when you INSTALL the game, it says "Complete Edition", which it's not.
The contents in the US are differant (3-DVDs).
1) Heroes V on one DVD
2) Heroes III and IV on one DVD (not sure if they include expansions)
3) LE DVD (Soundtrack, Artwork, Screens, Illustrations)
Has anyone in the US confirmed if the Heroes II & III DVD include or don't include the expansions? I'm too lazy (and too interested in HOMMV) to check it out.
Another point, the US LE version DOES include three extra scenario maps, but doesn't include a creature card!?!?! Did the Euro Complete include a creature card? If it did, Ubi (and French in-general) must hate Americans!

They didn't... they put Heroes III on the DVD, had some left over room, and thought "why not include Heroes IV on the same DVD just for laughs!" (at least in the US).DaemianLucifer wrote:Youre kidding? Why did they waste a whole DVD for that one?Dublex wrote: Heroes IV (on DVD-rom)

I was talking about the complete edition Dublex was talking about in the first post. You can put the whole HIV with both expansions and the fan made maps from CH on just 2 CDs.Bah,who knows what passes through those guys minds anywayWolfshanze wrote: They didn't... they put Heroes III on the DVD, had some left over room, and thought "why not include Heroes IV on the same DVD just for laughs!" Not much... the US LE version comes with those exact three DVDs... not sure why they needed a whole DVD for some silly artwork and such... I guess it's the videos that take up the most space on the disc.ThunderTitan wrote:How much space do those take up?!3) LE DVD (Soundtrack, Artwork, Screens, Illustrations)
I've only toyed with the HOMMV DVD... glad I don't have to mess with four CDs. That they put both H3 and H4 on one DVD was interesting, but my hunch is they didn't bother with the expansions (especially after realizing they didn't give Americans a creature card either).

- There are SIX tracks... one for each town... THAT'S IT.berntie wrote:Two questions on the soundtrack:Wolfshanze wrote: 3) LE DVD (Soundtrack, Artwork, Screens, Illustrations)
- Are all tracks included? (The main menu theme---which is great!---for example?)
- In what format is it included? MP3??
- It's actually in DVD format! (VOB files). You're supposed to put it in a DVD player (or software DVD player) to listen to it (it shows a slideshow of the faction while you listen to the music)

Well the French sure are sticking it to us Americans with this "LE" version.
No creature card, only six songs from the game can fit on an entire DVD for some reason.
I'm going to have more Freedom Fries for lunch... breakfast was good too... I had me some Freedom Toast.
After going over the contents, I now understand the differance between the European "Complete Edition" and the US "LE" version... "LE" stands for "Light Edition".
