Read a Book... While You Wait

Unread postby Angelspit » 18 May 2006, 01:35

Marzhin wrote a report about two little-known Might and Magic novels. While many fans have heard of The Sea of Mist by Mel Odom, there were two other books published by DelRey Books in 1995 and 1996 and written by Geary Gravel. It will be difficult to find The Dreamwright and The Shadowsmith in store these days, but at least you now have a summary of the plot. The third book of the series, The Worldcrafter, has been cancelled.

If you are up for some good reading, you can download the Heroes Fables winning entries here. As mentioned before, they include stories by Round Table members Echo and Marelt Ekiran.

M&M Novels

Dreamwright was truly **awful** and was absolutely ***nothing*** remotely like M&M. There was no way I wanted to read Shadowsmith and I've played every single M&M game, except for Legends.
Dell XPS 400, 2 Gb RAM
-Win 7
-all King's Bounty games; M&M 1-9, HOMM 1-6

I must disagree. The world reminded me a lot of Xeen (from M&M 4 and 5) an there are still Ancients, Guardians, etc.

Might and Magic Novels

Second oppinion on Sea of Mist; it was terrible. The only thing good I can say about it is that reading it made me want to parody it. Make the big war between the gods and the dragons into a war between the Bagels and the Donuts, and change Praz's name to Pretz-el. Teeheeheeheehee... :D

Praz means "leek" in Romanian.
