No Sound in Heroes 3 Hota

Hi All,

I was playing hota and the game crashed with mss32.dll file error.

Now I am not getting any sound in hota. HD Hota and Hota both do not give any sound.

However I am getting sound in h3 original and H3 HD (original)

I tried uninstalling HOTA and HD Mod and reinstall. No change.
I do not want to uninstall the complete game as I want to keep the save games.

I am using GOG version of Homm3.

Several options, depending on real the real failure cause:
#1 - Reinstall DirectX and optionally also sound drivers
#2 - Install the base game to different folder and yet again install the mod on the top of it
#3 - If nothing of that works, you can run system check. Which means to let system check hdd for errors and then like admin launching cmd and run "sfc /scannow"

#1 - works for damaged driver, either being it DirectX or sound driver
#2 - works for corrupted registry
#3 - works for corrupted system, drive or system files
