I know, have finished vanilla atleast 10 times playing light path (diiferent parties including a solo monk run) and 1 time with a dark path party.
Roleplaying says the party are the rulers of harmondale and part of their duties is keeping harmondale safe.
That means I clear the whole harmondale map, light the signal fires and clear the goblin army.
After respawning I am obligated to clear the evildoers again (on other maps I can ignore the respawned baddies)
RPing is also the main reason why I value the trumpet quest highly. Human & Elf kingdoms have fought over harmondale hundreds of years, the people of harmondale deserve better and should become independent .

As my RACS party advanced, the ranger becomes a liabilty instead of an asset.
In deyja I encountered a group with 7 skeleton lords which hit my hunter (400+ hp) with several toxic clouds every turn.
I needed 10+ red potions & regeneration and healing every turn to survive until my Archer & Sorcerer managed to take out those skeleton lords.
This was the first fight on deyja map, close to the portal to erathia . Heading towards the east golem part in deyja the next fight was with harpies.
The 3rd was with skeletons again and forced me to retreat to temple to resurrect the hunter.
I abandoned the playthrough and am now playing with a standard ktcs party.
One weird thing with that party : In bracada I had found the Ullysses bow artifact, and on Evenmorn island I found a 2nd one.
Is this intentional ?

Yes, because you are going to need them. You should not go into some areas until your party is well developed. These games should take months to finish. Because it takes time to develop your party strange enough to handle some of these areas.

Unfortunately Merchant master trainer lives on Evenmorn and I needed that for my priest & thief .
Since my party is at lvl 45 training gets expensive .
Healing M10 , Lightning bolt M10, 200 hp rings and damage spread over party demoted the skeleton lords from 'avoid at all costs' to 'very annoying'' .
I prefer to have different magical attacks on bows, so I dumped the 2nd ulysses in the ocean and added seven league boots instead.
(water magic related item felt like best fit for evenmorn)
A few comments now i have seen more of the mod: :
I agree with many of your changes, the towns/houses look much better . The stable/ship/shop changes are also very nice.
The bridges in avlee/ deyja / tatlia / erathia make things to easy .
Maybe require something to get access to them (like water walk spell for the T & A ones ) ?
Lighting all signal fires doesn't bring the goblin army to Harmondale
Walking from TF to Deyja is hard without having the jump spell.
Added quests :
Emerald : add to the atmosphere
H: majestic shield quest is to easy, maybe use npc in tatalia / bracada / avlee for 2nd part of quest ?
H: portal key quest - maybe add a check if party has visited BD ?
T: nice one and monsters are easy to find.
TF: couldn't find all dragonflies, possibly the uneven terrain played a role there.
D : reward is way to low and opponents too tough .
Maybe switch opponents to zombies and reward to an ideal crossbow of undead slaying ?
(rewarding a griffin bow doesn't feel right for deyja)
A: wyverns are tough, maybe reward should be minotaur axe or headmans poleaxe with an enchantment ?
