HOMM III Crashes

Hello,

I love Heroes III, and play it all the time. About two weeks ago it suddenly started crashing every time I try
to load it. I am using the one from GOG.
I'm still able to play the maps I like through Horns of the Abyss, but would like to get HOMM III fixed. Has
anyone else had this problem lately?

I've tried the usual fixes such as re-booting laptop, but haven't had any luck. I'm running Windows 10 Pro.

Could be update related, ie some recent Windows Update. Anyway I rarely play H3C as they are, at least I use them with H3 HD mod by Baratorch
