Heroes 3 messeging

Hello, Im new here, but I play the Might and Magic series for years.
I have a problem with multiplayer games....

Im playing heroes 3 WoG 3.68f, never before I experienced any problems.
Few days ago I was playing multiplayer (ip) game against my gf. The first 10 minutes were fine, we sent each other messages.
After about 10 minutes I was no longer able to recieve any messages from her, or send any. I can type, it shows that I sent, but she doesn't recieves it. it happened in a few games, and its annoying me :mad:

Can anyone help?

dial-up or cable ? because it is most possible that your connection just broke (someone got disconnected).... the worse scenario would be that something caused a de-sync... AFAIK, WoG is pretty unstable in MP, so you should only play verified desync-free scripts when playing MP :)

Latest version aka DirectX9.0a is always good. Microsoft is providing patch for it, alas security fix as well. But I still have no clear idea if this is the famous fix...

Use dxdiag command under Start --> Run to obtain your dx information ;)

I got the latest DirectX and cable itnernet. Same thing for my gf.
It still does't work =(

You need to get the .DLL file from the WoG site (via FilePlanet) and put it into the main WoG folder on both computers.

Hmm..., and what's the trick with dx8 ipsocket library?

...because, if it's not modified, it's standart part of any DirectX.

I believe more in Hamachi....

The new DX ipsocket library simply doesn't work with WoG for MP games (Microsoft changed something), so that's why you have to use the old one.
