Heroes IV modding mh4.exe crashes windows 10

Hi all, I am new

mh4.exe crashes when I try to open it on windows 10, I have tried both new and old releases of the program and remember getting it to work on my old windows 7 computer. I was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this or has any possible solutions.

I have tried compatability mode for windows 7 and xp as well as running as admin and dissabling dpi scaling, nothing stopped the crashes. any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

mh4 is the modding tool right? What function do you seek to use from the tool? I mean perhaps you could use some of the other modding tools?
